The Adams-Novikov -term for Behrens’ spectrum at the prime
Source Paper Abstract
We compute the Adams-Novikov -term of a spectrum constructed by Behrens. The homotopy groups of are closely tied to the -primary stable homotopy groups of spheres; in particular, they are conjectured to detect the homotopy beta family of Greek letter elements at the prime . Our computation leverages techniques used by Behrens to compute the rational homotopy of , and leads to a conjecture that the Adams-Novikov -term for detects the algebraic beta family in the -based Adams-Novikov -term for the -local sphere.
